Cecy Gillen Designs is a small company base out of Norwalk, Connecticut. With a husband and wife as principals and as the foundation of the business. We provide you with an excellent team with great service and high-end quality of work in the home improvement area. We are licensed and fully insured. Peter manages the painting crew for all the projects, and has trained our men with a good quality of workmanship. Cecy Gillen

With more than 20 years of experience as an interior decorator and dealing in the home improvement business, Cecy is an excellent project manager. She has worked in the construction field for over 15 years and has the knowledge and understanding of all the construction phases, from the foundation to the finished project. She earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture and has been drafting for almost 15 years, both by hand and with computer software. In addition, she has a degree in fine arts and interior decorating. With her diversified training and skills in the home improvement field, she has a great deal of background schema to be an interior decorator. She has trained herself with all the mentioned fields just to do what she loves the best: being an interior decorator.

She describes her personal decorating style as eclectic, a true individual style. This is not to say that she doesn't know other styles. Contemporary, traditional, country, colonial, Victorian, French country, Mediterranean, modern, Old World, and so on are all within her range of expertise. If you don’t know what your style is then with her you will work together in finding the style that is best for you, your surroundings, and your lifestyle.

As a decorator, she will meet with you and get to know you in a more personal level. She takes all things in consideration in figuring out what works for you, and, most importantly, what is comfortable for you. She can create an atmosphere that is both very elegant and yet cozy at the same time. A place that is not just comfortable for you, but also for all your family members—including all the fury pets.

Peter Gillen

Project Manager - With 20 years of experience in the Painting field, Peter Peter will offer you valuable input in regards to how and what is going to take place in either repairing any areas or simply painting. This works very well, because then you have a better understanding about your surroundings in your home while the work takes place. He also estimates the length of work time on each project, which will give you a better sense of timing. He is available to work around your schedule. Having a very good eye for color, he will provide you with an honest opinion about what color works around your home. He is an expert in a number of areas including taping, plastering, drywall repair, finish paint, and trim work. You’ll find the love of his work evident in your finished product
